Okay. I have been cutting myself for about 2 years now. I never did it on my arm, but on my hips and the insides of my legs, so that no one would see them. However, last night, my twin brother saw the tip of one of them over my jeans and wouldn't leave me alone until I showed him the rest of my hip, telling me that if I had nothing to hide, it shouldn't be a problem. When I finally showed him, he freaked out. He cried and was begging me to stop. Ordinarily, I wouldn't care what other people ask me, but my brother means the world to me and I feel terrible about hurting. What kind of alternatives are there to cutting? I've tried to stop before, but never succeeded. Now, I have to. I can't go on making my brother feel this way.

Cat lost in wall cavity in house?

Why my friend is avoiding me?

This is karthi from chennai and i have completed my 12th standard. Actually, i had a friend named vijay, when i was studying 8th standard. We both were in the same class. We were very best friends. But in our school, they used to seperate the classes every year. So, we went to different classes. So, i was unable to have contact with him. How would i fix my venetian blinds?

hi, try and imagine this... i live in an old school, that's been converted into flats, my flat has a large sash window which stretches right up through the ceiling in my living room up into my bedroom to the windowsill, which is just over a meter high from the bedroom floor, and covering the gap is a single large pane o glass which if you are sitting on the windowsill in the living room you can knock on the glass. the other day as i was opening the blinds they fell of the fixings. the only way i can think of to put them back up is to get 2 tall people to stand on the living room windowsill, in-between the 2 panes of glass and try place them back on there fittings but this can be pretty dangerous as im on the 2nd floor in the building and only have single glazing. there must be another way, how would they have got them up in the first place as they definitely didn't come with the property when it was converted. please help me! xx

I suggest that you don't quit something you worked hard for because what's the whole point of it then in the end. If you're really serious about a sport, or something your doing, make sure your positive you'll give full effort, you'll be motivated, and you won't quit and won't give up in the end. If you really want to run, make sure its something you really want to do and plan on making a commitment and sticking to it. But that's not all, you have to eat right, cut the junk food off, drink a lot of water. Work out regularly, mostly everyday running because you want to do cross country. I've met cross country runners and they take it really seriously, their supper fast, and very fit with nice toned, lean bodies. But you can build yourself up on that. Just don't give up, stay positive. If you can hire a trainer and drink protein shakes, just focus on making yourself faster and stronger. =]

Secondly, make sure you can join enough clubs, around 3 or even two is fine. Make sure you are actively involved in one club at least and try to run for officer and get elected. Thirdly, be involved in a sport or two. If you aren't the athletic type much, try out for a simple sport like badminton or something. It will be easier on you,and it looks good on your college application. Have good impressions with all of your teachers. Ok, the AP courses: Most people just think that they can wing it. AP takes a lot of time to do homework for and study for. As soon as you come home take no more than a half an hour break to get ready for studying. You will have to squeeze all this in and if you can manage your time well, you will do great. I know this seems really overwhelming, but by the time you are done with high school, you will be in a great college. And 1400 is not at all a bad start for a seventh grader.My brother took the SAT in 7th grade and he got a 1750. But its still pretty good. Apply for different competitions and try your best in science and math bowls. All these things along with your personality and your desire to learn will help you get into a good colelge. What should a beginner learn to draw?

Always practice whenever you feel you have the confidence to draw, not when it's late at night when you are doing your homework and suddenly want to draw. Homework comes first. I'd say draw between 9-12 in the mornings ( this is good if you have free time and/or if you are on vacation from school or work ), when it is still light outside and the light is bright and shining to get you inspired to draw or paint. Practice drawing objects you are not very skilled at so you can master those techniques. Since you can't draw people precisely, practice drawing the shapes of people's heads and the flow of the hair and the direction of their body, don't right away start drawing an entire masterpiece of a human, work little by little, for example you can work on the shapes of the eyes for 2 weeks or until you master your eye drawings, then maybe you can go on to more challenging shapes and figures to master and that's how you could do better. To paint or draw " trippy" stuff, I'd say start on scratch paper and practice drawing or painting an hour a day or so. A beginner should learn to draw basic shapes and lines, practicing your base of drawing or painting. A beginner should also learn to draw shadows on shapes to show what direction the light is hitting on the masterpiece. Then as you get better with practice, draw even more challenging objects and soon you will become a good artist with skilled techniques and with practice!

Much needed help with living situation, can u help?

Me, my husband and 3 (ages 5, 7 and 10) children live in a 1969 1 1/2 bedroom mobile home that belongs to my parents. I don't know what to do anymore because our house is way to small. We put the children in the big room which is 12x10 and we have the little room which only holds our bed. Due to my condition(epilepsy where i have grand mal seizures) we live very close to my family so while he is at work there is always someone here if i need medical help. He is in the Army Reserves but has a full time job that requires him to stay out of town all week. I also can not have a license so that's another reason we stay close. We have been living in this home for over 5 years and it is just starting to fall down around us. Not to mention my oldest is a girl and really needs her own room. There are so many things wrong with it that it is not worth saving. For example the house has shifted alot (since 1970 when my grandfather put it in) so the windows have leaks, the door doesn't work very well and leaks every time it rains, there are no doors on the bedrooms, the floor has fall in the bathroom and had to replace it, the floor in the hallway is sinking, the floor has separated from the walls in some places, the counter in the kitchen where the sink is has started to cave in, the plumbing in the bath tub doesnt work because it needs to have all new plumbing and they don't make the fittings for that make and model anymore and i am 100% positive there is mold in the walls from where the pipes busted where the washing Machine was and were the roof leaks. Please if your reading this i know that it sounds like i am doing nothing but complaining but i am not. I am very blessed and thank god that i have a roof over our heads. It is hard for me to live this way and i don't like making my children live like this. My husband does what he can to provide for us as a one income family and its just not enough when we have to keep repairing this house that just is not worth it. Not to mention dr. bills for me and my youngest son that is speech impaired. My fear is having my children taken from me. Since he has returned from deployment in Iraq we have tried really hard but we are really not getting anywhere. I dont think people automatically think teen parents wont succeed i think its the individuals attitude to having a child but it doesnt help that 90% of teen parents have a bad attitude and give those teen parents who are willing to do well a bad name. Some teens are mature for their ages where as some are immauture and they see that having a child means an easy way out of working life and not to do best by their child. I know a quite a few people who have had children in their teens and i can say only very few not even a handful have continued to do well, stick in and get a job etc to give their child the best start in life and provide for their child. To answer your question slugging can occur if liquid enters the compressor suction valves. A compressor is designed to only pump gases. If you send liquid into the suction to fast it will not have time to evaporate causing slugging. This can seriously damage your compressor. No you can not just pour the thawzone into an open fitting.

Brake lines and fittings on 1999 gmc sierra 1500?

i have a 1999 gmc sierra z71 and the front brake lines rusted out before so i got them replaced and now the back one is rusted out and i need to know what to do to put the new one in because it goes along the frame above the gas tank. i also need to know what fittings are on both ends. one is connected to a hose in the back for the axle and right under the cab in the frame it connects to a box that seems to split everything to all of the brakes. i dont know what that box is though. any answers would help. thanks

I need to connect a 90 degree flexible rubber joint from a 2" steel pipe to a 1-1/2" abs fitting. I notice that the 2" to 2" flexible joint fits perfectly to the outside of the abs fitting. Can I fit the pipes like that? Otherise I need more adapters or a 2" to 1-1/2" flexible 90 degree joint, which they may not make. Room is scarce to none at all.

Pink Floyd are my very favorite band, and a Yes concert I inadvertently saw part of on TV the other day kind of reminded me of the Floyd, Dark Side of the Moon-Wish You Were Here era. The song they played was called "In the Presence Of" (I Googled the lyrics); I thought their playing and singing were just alright, but it was the rich, trippy Floydian nuances of their sound that grabbed me. Tell me what you think about my plot for a novel?

It's about someone called Travis and in the story everyone and everything is a figment of his imagination. In the story the characters from his imagination live out there life so the readers think that they are actual people. They soon end up having the same goal which is to get rid of any misery anyone would experience so they try to create a utopian world. Throughout the story Travis appears to be the antagonist and stops the characters from achieving their goal whereas in reality he is trying to create a eutopian world aswell. The characters end up going insane and have to continue assuring themselves that they are only human when they aren't. The interesting thing is that the whole book will be written in dialogue to create the illusion of what is going on in Travis's mind and I won't say where they are exactly except if it is brought up in the conversation. The thing I can't decide on is whether or not to stop using dialogue in the last chapter when Travis steps out into reality. To clarify Travis isnt dreaming and the story is that he is merely projecting his goal onto the characters. However whenever something goes wrong he kills off the character in weird ways which subtly hints that something isn't right. This soon creates the idea that there is no such thing as perfection because noone ever succeeds in creating utopia. Later on Travis gains a connection to the figments and feels he should create utopia since he killed off most of the characters. Why do I only dream of death?

Every single time I have a dream there are mutilated animals and people. College is not a guarantee. Staying at the advanced school will not guarantee that you will get into your "dream" college. Colleges take the rank of your high school in account when you apply. If they see you come from a lower tier high school but took advantage of what was offered then you're on the level playing field. If you're not thriving at the school you are at now, then transfer so you can at least enjoy the last few years of high school. It's about someone called Travis and in the story everyone and everything is a figment of his imagination. In the story the characters from his imagination live out there life so the readers think that they are actual people. They soon end up having the same goal which is to get rid of any misery anyone would experience so they try to create a utopian world. Throughout the story Travis appears to be the antagonist and stops the characters from achieving their goal whereas in reality he is trying to create a eutopian world aswell. The characters end up going insane and have to continue assuring themselves that they are only human when they aren't. The interesting thing is that the whole book will be written in dialogue to create the illusion of what is going on in Travis's mind and I won't say where they are exactly except if it is brought up in the conversation. The thing I can't decide on is whether or not to stop using dialogue in the last chapter when Travis steps out into reality. To clarify Travis isnt dreaming and the story is that he is merely projecting his goal onto the characters. However whenever something goes wrong he kills off the character in weird ways which subtly hints that something isn't right. This soon creates the idea that there is no such thing as perfection because noone ever succeeds in creating utopia. Later on Travis gains a connection to the figments and feels he should create utopia since he killed off most of the characters. I have loved this guy with all my heart for years now. We have know each other almost our entire lives and I never told him until recently. Question on vacuum for small block Chevy High Performance 350?

the power brake hose has to go to a big fitting, on the intake or behind the bottom of the carburetor. the vacuum advance hose has to run ported ( above the throttle plat on the carburetor so it can advance itself when you give it gas. you don,t want it ran straight off the intake or it will be advanced all the time when it,s running. the egr valve hose has to have vacuum all the time when it,s running so find a vacuum source where you can hook it to.

What is wrong with my dad's Peugeot 306 CD player?

My dad recently got a Peugeot 306 Estate HDi Meridian and the CD player works, it reads fine, as soon as the engine is started - boom! The CD player "freezes" and you can hear the laser trying to read it (faint click click) the numbers do not move and after about 10 seconds of not being able to read it, it spits out the CD, why? The CD player worked for the previous owner BUT the person my dad bought the car from did say that some rubber fittings were needed to stabilise the CD player? Is this correct or is the thing knackered?

If your prone to keloids there is a chance that you could get them in your tattoo. How big is that chance? I cant say everyone is different. Sadly there is no good way to gauge if you will or not as any skin trauma may or may not cause a keloid. Its your call but I would think of it in these terms. If it does go bad your now left with a tattoo that doesnt look as good as it could and the keloids often cause discomfort in the form of itching. If it goes bad its not easy to undo nor is it easy to treat. Up to you to weigh the risk. If you were standing in my shop asking me likely I would tell you I wouldnt recommend it.

My Kubota M6040 63 hp tractor I have had to re-tighten hydraulic hose connectors to stop leaks, & fear of over tighten, when trying to stop the leaks with a wrench. Is there a product you can, or should, put on the threaded fitting; or is that too dangerous because the stuff might get inside the lines and mess something up?

I am looking at buying a new house and during my home inspection, the home inspector noted that the house is plumbed with Kitec Plumbing Pipe and Fittings. These plumbing appurentances have had some major defects (breakages, leakages, etc.) and have been the centre of a number of class action lawsuits both in Canada and the US. I'm trying to figure out this movie?

It's not a recent movie, and all I remember is one of the scenes. There is this man who is a child phsycologist or some sort of doctor. One of his patients finds him when he grows up and harrasses him, basically because he never cured him. At the end, his parents call this Dr. person and he goes to their backyard, finding him tied up to a chair. His chest has a diamond tattoo, which one of the things he always talked about as a child. He connects the dots that his father molested or raped him as a child, and that is why he's so screwed up. This man ends up shooting the doctor, I'm not sure if he succeeds at killing him, and then he kills himself. All I remember. It's driving me crazy because I have no idea how to figure out what this movie is and I'd appreciate any suggestions!

Bad trip from an unknown legal smoke.. Will I be ok?

Hello, it's currently 12:33 AM. Around 8pm my cousin who lives with my grandparents convinced me, through severe pressuring and "come on, come on" until I no longer refused, to smoke something he told me would "make me feel good". I've smoked other stuff he told me to before which only left me a little relaxed or tired, didn't mess with my brain really. He failed to tell me it would have some kind of trip effect... I cleared a pretty large "sour" bong of the stuff and held it in for a pretty long time each hit. A few minutes after hitting I was sitting down and started feeling really weird, then time started being all trippy, like stuff was replaying/lagging. It started off being only every like second time would mess up. I stumbled into the hallway and tried to go down the stairs to get help, but I fell down the stairs. Around this time it started getting worse, time started replaying more like every few minutes. I was totally out of touch with reality. Then I totally went out and saw like little multicolored squares on a black background and while in that strange dreamlike state I forgot pretty much my whole life, random things flashed back and forth in my memory... Then I like saw weird color swirls and little like rocky looking vortex things, it felt like i was being drug/swirled through them and the physical pain felt real. Anyway, eventually it slowed down, time got back to messing up like every 10-30 seconds, I felt a strange tingling sensation all over, couldnt get up, and threw up about 10 times, at some points very violently to where I had a spasm like thing and slid up the back of the couch. Eventually the tingly feeling went away and I was still throwing up a little. I tried eating small stuff and sipping some water and sprite but threw it up most of the time. My grandparents tried to help me and did take care of me until I was back to reality and calmed down. I am at home now and I feel kind of bad like worn out, kind of sick stomach. I am done using any kind of drugs not prescribed to me by a doctor. My advice to anyone is don't smoke anything, and if you're going to make sure you know what it does. My stupid mistake, I learned a lesson. Anyway, I'm thinking about going to sleep soon. Do you think I will be ok? All I know is it was some kind of incense and the initial trip lasted a little over an hour but the whole bad experience was more like 2-3 hours. Please answer I'm a little worried. I'm just glad that is all over. By the way, I'm not "tripping" anymore the time thing stopped before the tingling sensations, I just feel kind of sick/weak/dizzy. Thanks!

The longest I've gone without sleep is 7 days. Ironically I had a bundle of energy and never felt tired. I went to the doctor about it and the first thing he asked if I was on drugs. I don't even smoke much less do drugs. It was just one of those things that the body does. That same day I went to bed and I did end up falling asleep and I slept very hard. It never happened again.
