Is there a better fitting than a compression fitting for connecting a refrigerator ice maker line?

You have to use what ever the valve is you cannot just change that. but if you over tight it will leak you have to be careful with compression fittings they do not have to be cranked on. you might want to try pipe dope or Teflon tape around the threads or just replace the whole valve it self.
