Ute was fitted with a Tonneau 2 weeks ago. the velcro he attched has badly damagd paint, whats my legal rights?

i asked for the button stud attachment apposed to the rope fittings as it was a cleaner finish, when i picked up ute which is a hz holden one tonner weldback, it looked great, he also glued a strip of velcro around the entire back as well to help keep the tension was his reason. i noticed last week when lifting the tonneau to grab my work gear one one side of the ute the velcro has completely lifted the paint work it was glued to damaging my paint work in a big way, What are my leagle rights as a consumer???? my thoughts where he was a professional and could do the jos as he saw fit. should i seek legal advice??? car needs repaint , whats your thoughts??
