Seeing "stars", lights and other things?

So my whole life as far back as I can remember I've seen star like things, other lights, things that kinda look like black hole type things and other stuff in my vision. And it happens in dreams too. Does anyone else experience this or know what it is? It's so trippy a beautiful looking and I am not looking for a way to get rid of it. I looked it up one time and all I found was stuff about how some people see "stars" after standing up too quickly; which is not the case for me, its all the time.
